LTI utilizes powerful servers and high bandwidth, partnered with state-of-the-art distance learning software, any internet home computer user can obtain the education they need. This software includes full buffered audio and broadcast video so all students on-line can see their instructor and will never a miss word he or she says. A virtual chalkboard or "Whiteboard" acts just like a chalkboard in any standard classroom, and includes features such as: importing graphics or photos, display and interact with maps and charts, draw lines and shapes, type out readable text with a variety of fonts. There is also a feature for building a slide show or importing your own Power Point presentation for a class lesson. Students can request the microphone to ask questions, or type out their question in the chat room. Instructors can also have one-on-one video conferencing sessions with a student (which is also great for tutoring!). Everybody logged on have their own mail box to receive assignments or updates. The instructor has full control of the room and can even setup a directory for students to download resources, assignments, or tests at any time.
